Our History

Rich Price, Auto Recon Express's founder, was taught and trained the process of Paintless Dent Removal in 1991. After three Months of intense training, he continued to work day in and day out for the next two years to perfect his skill.

In 1993 Rich started his company called PDP - Paintless Dent Professionals and rapidly grew his business with uncompromising craftsmanship, quality, service, and value that spread by word of mouth.

We started with mainly Dealerships, wholesale accounts, and body shops, and our service was primarily at the wholesale level. As we continued fixing hundreds of thousands of cars over the years, we decided to add other services for our customers.

In 1997 we added Paint Touch-up and Bumper Scuff Repair. That was an added value for our ever growing customer base. At that point, it opened up the doors to not only service dealerships and wholesale accounts, but retail customers as well.

At the beginning of 2001, the business name was changed to Auto Recon Express. This change recognized that we did so much more than ding and dent repair. We had become a real one-stop mobile service for automotive reconditioning, offering a complete range of services in Orange County, California.
